I've joined hoses together before, and there's been leaks and drops at the join. Two Tuff Hoses joined with this little connector are just like one long drip-free hose!
If you're thinking of getting one long hose, I'd recommend this option instead - it works very well.

We have 2 x 15m Tuff hose pipes and this connector works just fine. Just make sure you've shoved it on correctly otherwise you get an unexpected shower when the water pressure pushes them apart ♀️

The item works fine but the pressure of the water in the hose reduces significantly when you attache attached a 30 and 15 meter hose together making it really hard to water the garden.

Early days but the hose seems very robust. It extends and retracts quickly and there are absolutely no leaks from any of the connections. I like the fact that the connections are well made in brass. I have yet to discover how durable it will be but with care and safe storage in the winter I am optimistic it will serve me well. I would recommend this hose.
